*October 2025 Update*: Referrals to the African Communities Program are temporarily closed due to high caseloads and staff transitions. We expect to resume accepting new clients in November 2025.

If you are working with a client who needs urgent mental health support, please consider the following referral resources:
Individuals residing in Alameda County may receive referrals to mental health services by calling ACCESS at 1-800-491-9099. ACCESS serves all ages and is available Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. If needed, callers can request an interpreter in their preferred language.
You can also use the following tools to search for mental health services and other local services:
If you are a referring partner, such as an attorney, community partner, or other client advocate referring a potential client for our services, please provide some information about yourself and your client in order to complete the referral.
If you are a new client looking for services, please select "I am a client" and provide the requested contact information so that PTR staff can contact you for screening.
Please ensure the client's consent to provide demographic information prior to completing this referral
